Website terms of use
Last updated: 28 October 2026
These terms explain how you may use the website at www.getappoint.co.uk (the site) and the content on it. Please read them before you use the site.
The site is run by Appoint Group Limited (we, us, our), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16912796. Our registered office is 124-128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. You can reach us at hello@getappoint.co.uk.
By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
1. What the site is for
1.1. The site is free to use. It tells you about Appoint and how to contact us.
1.2. The site does not sell anything and does not give access to the Appoint product. Use of the Appoint product is governed by a separate written agreement between the customer and us, and nothing on the site forms part of that agreement.
1.3. Everything on the site is general information. It has not been written for your circumstances, and it is not legal, financial, governance or compliance advice. Take your own advice before you act on anything you read here.
2. Using the site
2.1. You may use the site for your own information and to contact us.
2.2. You must not:
- use the site in a way that breaks the law or these terms;
- knowingly introduce viruses or any other harmful code or material;
- try to gain unauthorised access to the site, the systems that host it, or any computer or database connected to it;
- interfere with the site's operation, including by overloading it;
- use automated tools to copy or extract the site's content, other than a search engine indexing it; or
- suggest that you, your products or your services are connected with or endorsed by us when they are not.
2.3. Unauthorised access to a computer, and unauthorised acts that impair a computer's operation, are offences under sections 1 and 3 of the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We may report such acts to the relevant authorities.
2.4. We may limit, suspend or withdraw your access to the site if you do not keep to these terms or the law.
2.5. The site is written for people in the United Kingdom. We make no promise that it is suitable or available anywhere else. If you use it from outside the UK, you are responsible for keeping to the laws that apply where you are.
3. Contacting us through the site
3.1. The site contains no forms. Its "Register interest" and "Talk to us" links open your own email program, and the message you write is sent by your email program, not by the site.
3.2. Email you send us is held in our mailbox. Where it contains personal information, we handle it as described in our privacy notice.
3.3. Nothing you send us by email creates a contract between us. A contract is formed only when we both sign a written agreement.
3.4. Unless we have agreed in writing to keep it confidential, please do not send us information that is confidential or commercially sensitive. If you need to share such information with us, ask us first and we will agree how.
4. Who owns the content
4.1. The site, and everything on it (text, design, code, images, graphics and the way they are arranged), belongs to us or to the people who have licensed it to us. It is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights, which we and they reserve.
4.2. You may read the site, and you may print or save pages for your own reference. You may not copy, republish, sell, adapt or build on the content without our written permission.
4.3. The Appoint name and the Appoint logo are ours. Do not use them without our written permission.
4.4. Do not remove or alter any copyright, trade mark or other notice on the site.
5. Accuracy and availability
5.1. We try to keep the site accurate and up to date, but we do not promise that it is complete, correct or free of errors. Any reliance you place on it is at your own risk.
5.2. We may change, add to or remove content, or change or close the site, at any time without notice.
5.3. We do not promise that the site will always be available or work without interruption.
6. Links to other websites
If the site links to a website run by someone else, the link is there for your convenience. We do not control those websites, we are not responsible for what is on them, and a link does not mean we endorse them. Your use of another website is subject to its own terms.
7. Our responsibility to you
7.1. If we break these terms or are negligent, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer as a result that was foreseeable. Loss is foreseeable if, when you started using the site, it was obvious that it would happen, or we both knew it might.
7.2. We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable, that was not caused by our breach or negligence, or that is a business loss, such as loss of profit, business, contracts, revenue or anticipated savings, or wasted expenditure.
7.3. The site is provided free of charge and as it is. Subject to clause 7.4, we give no other warranty about it.
7.4. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude or limit.
8. Events beyond our control
We are not responsible for failing to keep to these terms because of something beyond our reasonable control.
9. Only you and we can enforce these terms
These terms are between you and us. No one else has a right to enforce them, whether under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 or otherwise.
10. Changes to these terms
10.1. We may change these terms from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date at the top.
10.2. If you keep using the site after a change, you agree to the changed terms. Please check this page from time to time.
10.3. No change to these terms has effect unless it is published on this page or agreed with you in writing.
11. If part of these terms cannot be enforced
If a court decides that any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest of the terms still apply.
12. Which law applies
12.1. The law of England and Wales applies to these terms and to your use of the site.
12.2. Any dispute may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring a claim in the courts there.
12.3. If you are a consumer living outside the UK, you keep any protection that the law of your country gives you and that cannot be taken away by agreement.
13. Complaints and contact
13.1. If you are unhappy with the site or with us, please tell us and we will try to put it right quickly.
13.2. Email: hello@getappoint.co.uk
13.3. Post: Appoint Group Limited, 124-128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX
