Cookie policy
Last updated: 28 October 2026
This policy explains what our website stores on your device. Read it with our privacy notice, which explains how we use personal data generally, your rights, and how to contact us or the regulator if you have a concern.
Who we are
This website, www.getappoint.co.uk, is published by Appoint Group Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 16912796, whose registered office is at 124-128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX.
What this policy covers
This policy covers our website at www.getappoint.co.uk.
It does not cover the Appoint platform at app.getappoint.co.uk. That is a separate, signed-in service which uses its own cookies and browser storage, and this policy does not describe them. If you have a question about the platform, contact us using the details below.
Cookies and similar storage
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Websites also use other kinds of browser storage, such as local storage, for similar purposes, and the same rules apply to them.
Our website sets no cookies. It also stores nothing else in your browser. We have no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, no embedded social media and no third-party scripts. Our fonts are served from our own site, not from a font network. We do not build a profile of visitors and we do not follow you across other websites.
The "Register interest" and "Talk to us" links on the site open your own email program. Nothing is sent to our website when you use them, and nothing is stored.
The one thing our host could place in your browser
Our website is hosted by Vercel. To protect a site from an attack, Vercel can ask a visitor's browser to pass a short automated security check before a page loads. When that happens, the check creates a session in your browser so that you are not checked again on every page. Vercel's documentation says that session lasts for one hour. This is the only thing that could be placed in your browser by visiting our site, and it exists only to keep the site available and secure.
| What | Set by | Purpose | How long | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Security check session (only if Vercel's attack protection challenges your browser) | Vercel, our host | Records that your browser passed the security check, so you are not asked again on every page | Up to one hour | Not needed: strictly necessary to provide the site you asked for |
That is the whole list.
Consent
Regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 says that a website may not store information on your device, or read information stored there, except where Schedule A1 to those Regulations allows it. Schedule A1 allows it where you have been given clear and comprehensive information about the purpose and have consented, and in a small number of other cases. One of those cases covers storage that is strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for, which is what the security check above is.
Because our website stores nothing that needs your consent, we do not show a cookie banner and we do not ask for consent. If we ever add something that needs it, we will ask you first and update this policy.
What you can do
- You can set your browser to block or delete cookies and other site storage. Our website will still work.
- If your browser has passed a security check, you can end that session by clearing site data for www.getappoint.co.uk in your browser settings. Your browser may then be checked again.
For general guidance on cookies and browser storage, see the ICO at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If we add anything that needs your consent, we will ask for it before it is set.
